    Hi, I just installed Tiki Wiki, started using it and like it a lot...

    Now I have a slight problem...

    The wiki I was setting up was supposed to be for only our group making a game. While I was setting up some general admin stuff, I noticed the lockout feature and activated it. After that I did some clicking around and found some user settings, I changed the admin user from the defaults to my own name and password, then after some more clicking around I set up a new user for my friend and gave it a password. After this I started setting the wiki up, only to find that after I logged out I could not log back in. I tried all the users and passwords I could, and still nothing.

    So after that I lookied around on the docs and found the lost admin password page, I followed the instructions, found the users area and found that both users that were in the database had no password, I tried adding one, changing the original account back to admin, and then used the code to reset the user to admin pass to admin, but that code had no effect.


    I'm the teams artist/manager so too much code and I get stumped... I'm kinda stuck here and any help would be very appreciated...

    Now... what is the proper way to go about changing the admin account into my own account, or should I make a seprate account for myself?

    Also, is the lockout a usable way like I was using it? I tried to log in as my friends account and I still can't...

    You cannot change the name of the admin account. Please see this FAQQuestion for details.

    I'm not sure what you're trying to do. If you select the Disallow access to the site option on the Admin: GeneralQuestion page, only users with the tiki_p_admin permission can login. See the docsQuestion for details.
