After editing module/data tikiwiki no longer accessible..

I edited the data section of a module to {Menu ID=43} which is a menu I just created. It seems tikiwiki did not like this and now I get a blank page in the browser when trying to access the wiki.

Clicking view/source on the blank page reveals this:
--

--
My_Menu is the name of the new menu and module.

How do I gain access to the wiki again??? I haven't customized it much so it would be ok to just erase the whole config and start from scratch if needed. Does anyone have any ideas??

These user mistakes seem to happen a lot with Content management systems. I panicked the fist time i got denied access. I usually fix these propblems by removing the code i input which is usually found in the template files and just resave them back to original state. You should have an error message when access is denied. It would help if you can post this message so people can help you further. But dont worry. From what you said it sounds like an easilly fixable mistake.

PS. Be carefull when editing .tpl files. Dont screw around with any code you dont recognise. I made that mistake. Admin>Edit Templates> Look for the module .tpl file you were dealing with and see if you find your input code inside the file. If you have a problem with matching names you might easily delete the wrong code. Therefore: If you find the right template but dont understand code attach a copy to a post and request somebody with experience edits it for you.

Hope This helped

Can you post the error message? If you have invalid SMARTY code in the module, your Tiki will stop working. See hereQuestion for a fix.

Thanks Rick.
The solution at twbasics did it 😊
Amazing that such a small syntax issue can bring down the whole thing..
