Self-registration not recognizing password?
We recently upgraded from v1.9.8.3 to v1.9.9. Prior to the upgrade, the self-registration feature was working fine with admin validation of new users. After the upgrade, this has been the sequence:
1. User registers, and is notified that the registration is stored and awaiting admin validation.
2. Admin receives an auto-mail, clicks the link, and sees a TW page indicating that the user was validated successfully.
3. User receives an email that his account is validated, clicks the link to the login screen, enters username and password, and receives a "invalid username or password" error.
4. Admin sees the username in the user list, and resets the password.
5. User logs in successfully.
This has happened to every user that has registered since the upgrade, and I've repeated the sequence several times myself with test accounts. It is not an issue of entering the wrong password at the login.
Since this problem first manifested yesterday, I've been experimenting with login settings and searching tw.o forums & documentation with no success. Anyone have any ideas why the username would be successfully registered but the password screwed up?
