    Hi, I work for a community college and the direction would like to ask the community at large (not just the college population) input on what they would like the college to offer. I started playing around with tikiwiki and thought about using it for such task.

    I thought about using a blog but from what I can see, if I allow Anonymous to post comments, they can do it for every blogs (it's a general group setting and not restricted to that blog), which is something I wouldn't want.

    Can anyone give me some input on what I should do? Is there something more appropriate than blogs? Articles perhaps, but can you comments on an article and if so, can you set it so for it, anyone can comment?

    You can define anonymous to not view the thing and for your one element you want anon to add something, set the corresponding permissions.

    Thanks to you both. One question though, I can't find how to selectively allow comments to articles, polls, surveys, trackers or blogs. The only way where I saw you can allow comments is in the groups security. I have to give 'Post comments' to Anonymous, which mean for every other comments in the system, anyone can also post. That's something I prefer not doing. Just for that article, I would like to allow anonymous comments.

    Here's another question related to the same topic. The direction would like to moderate the comments. Is this something that can be done? If not, can you offer an alternative (alternative way or software perhaps)? Thanks again.

    That depends on the level of moderation you require. By default, the admin can create/edit/modify/delete any comments.

    Tiki's Forum feature allows you to queue postings for approval, "report" messages to the admin for deletion, etc. See the docs, here for details.

    Ok so using the forum is the only way to moderate 'something'. If I read you right, it's not possible to moderate comments in, lets say, blogs or articles, right?

    Thanks, I'll have to find something else then 🙁 I need to be able to moderate the comments.
