Wikis in Knoppix?

Hello, I’m new to Tiki, and Linux, but wondering if it’s possible to install Tiki using Knoppix? My understanding is that Knoppix is firmware and thus you can’t save to it, but if there’s a way that anyone knows of it would be appreciated. Ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Hi, first of all, Knoppix is not firmware. It's just a bootable CD - hence "Knoppix live CD". That doesn't mean you can't install it on you hard drive though... Just run a search on knoppix.net.

Now that that's out of the way, yes you can install tiki on knoppix... Just make sure you've got an RDBMS (mySql is probably the fastest) and the Apache webserver (and php of cource) on you system and it's all properly configured...
