tiki keeps auto-generating unwanted new homepages

Each time I point a browser at my v 6.2 tiki site it automatically generates a new homepage (giving it a title such as "acdd5cdecc044b3eebb11c772f8fff5e").

I quickly end up with numerous such pages each displaying the "Thank you for installing Tiki. The entire Tiki Community would like to thank you and help you get introduced to Tiki..." text on it.

Navigating to my wanted Home (wiki page) via the menu works fine.

Its a curious thing I've not seen before. Tinkering with the various HomePage settings in the Adminstration / General has no effect.

I have "Use Tiki feature as homepage:" set to "Wiki" and "Use URL Index" checked with "Use different URL as homepage" set to "tiki-index.php?page=Home"

Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks

Solved this problem by going to Admin / Wiki i.e.
tiki-admin.php?page=wiki
and entering "Home" (i.e. the name of my designated Home page) in the "Home page:" field.

This is not simply a warmware error. This happened to me right after upgrading to 6.2, with the repeated creation of new Welcome/Install screens with long numbered names. It took a large number of repeated tries resetting the wiki home page to another wiki page and eventually it took.

Another, perhaps related issue is that in admin/general/navigation I can't get the blog that used to be my home page to be my home page anymore. So I'm stuck mwith a wiki page.

These features have always been a little troublesome but I have seen numerous posts about the same problem recently.

One suggestion was to reset the Tiki cache but that has not helped. More on this at
