I'm not sure if this relates to other topics, but it was a problem after downloading TikiWiki 7 and installing on my test server. I managed to solve the issue, and thought my fix my assist others.

I'm running my test Tiki on Windows 7 Pro.

[Problem] When trying to obtain a Profiles List from the repository, my Tiki couldn't connect. (the refresh status showed X)

[Solution] It seems obvious, but it took me a few days to think of it ... tell my firewall (AVG in my case) to allow the profiles.tiki.org IP.

I'm now able to connect and load whichever profile I choose.
