Tiki doesn't work >_

๐Ÿ˜•
I'm not sure what to do, tiki for me doesn't seem to be working.
I followed the instructions line by line on the "Install with only FTP" instruction list, but Tiki doesn't seem to work.
I'm pretty new and am just trying to get a good CMS system (Nucleus had more problems than good things) up and running.
I know it's probably ill advised with someone with as little knowledge as I, the person on whose server I"m hosting can't figure it out either.
http://ryanyde.shadowcore.ca/tiki-1.7.7/tiki-index.php
That's the Tiki-Index page I visited, but upon going to the Admin page, I can't login and get a blank page.
Can any help me fix this?
I'd be much appreciative.

Much Thanks,
Ryan

Hi There

Looks like your PHP memory_limit is set to 8Mb and needs raising to around 12 or 16mb

Damian,

My site admin assures me that the PHP Limit has been raised to 32 MB, but I still can't login and get the same blank screen.
Is there anything else that might be wrong?
I don't know what to do, and getting a CMS to work has been a serious hurdle to making my website (finally)
Thanks for any help you can give.

Does PHP run as a module or in "the dreaded" CGI??

CGI is not tiki freindly at all.

I checked some background and it looks like its hosted at Generic Web Host.com

But no details as to the dreaded PHP running as CGI or not.

My Admin again assures that PHP is running as a module and not as "the dreaded CGI".
Any ideas on what the problem might be?
Anything that you could test?
And if Tiki won't work, could you suggest another CMS.
I leave for China tuesday (I'll be there for 2 weeks), so I guess it really isn't important, but I would like to have my CMS set up by then.

Not without details from a phpinfo()

Create a phpinfo script and post the url for us to see

LOL ๐Ÿ˜Š Tiki is the only worth while CMS ๐Ÿ˜Ž

TikiFriendlyHosts could be very useful

The entire point of really getting this CMS is so I can host it on my own URL at my own site. I just skimmed it (it's really late and I"m going to bed), but it seems that TikiFriendlyHosts would have me host Tiki on their sites and perhaps I'd have to pay. I'd be more than willing to share Admin priviliges to my site if anyone could install tiki on my site (there's nothing really of value on their at the moment anyway, so I figure there's no harm. If you (Damian, since you seem the one to be responding the most) want to help me install this and bury this beast once and for all, I'd be glad to change my login info so you could set it up. (I'd be much appreciative). As it is I really just want a blog and an image gallery and perhaps a few other features (maybe a forum), but I'd just like to get it done.

Thanks for your persistence and help.

As for a phpinfo() script, as I probably mentioned earlier, my coding ability is next to zilch. While I know what most terms mean, my ability to do anything is pretty much non-existent, I mainly work through my admin. If you can provide this phpinfo() script to run, and tell me how to use it, I'd be glad to share results.

Again, thanks.
Ryan
