About the "Skip to main content" button, this button normally isn't visible. It has "position: absolute; top: -100px;" CSS properties that usually move it up out of the visible page area, as is the case for example at this tiki.org page. Apparently, there's something interfering with or counteracting that CSS if the button is visible and can be clicked on.

For background, the button is an accessibility aid to help people with impaired vision who are using a screen-reader and are navigating by keyboard, so they can get directly to the page's main content without having to tab through all the links in the page header, etc. It may not seem to be doing anything, from a visual perspective, but does make a difference for keyboard navigation.

I've noticed the button being visible sometimes when there's some extra CSS padding on the page, for example, that counteracts the -100px positioning of the button, pushing it down into view. Does your site have anything unusual like this at the top of the page?

(Sorry, I don't know offhand about the category objects problem.)
