    • the problem of connection db

    Hi,all
    I have Apache 2.0.49 with PHP 4.3.5 and
    Mysql 4.0 with MySqlAdministrator.

    The apache,php and mysql works fine.
    I have downloaded tiki 1.7.8 zipped .How do I connect Mysql4.0 ?
    I want to connect Mysql ,

    1.Should I configure tiki-install.php?
    Is the follow configuration of tiki-install.php correct or error?
    api_tiki = 'adodb';
    db_tiki = 'mysql';
    host_tiki = 'localhost';
    user_tiki = 'root ';
    pass_tiki = 'xxxx ';
    dbs_tiki = 'tiki ';
    2. Should I configure the config.inc.php of phpmyadmin ?
    Is the follow the configuration of config.inc.php correct or error?
    $cfg'PmaAbsoluteUri_DisableWarning' = TRUE;
    $cfg'Servers'$i'auth_type' = 'cookie';
    $cfg'Servers'$i'host' = 'localhost';
    $cfg'Servers'$i'user' = 'root'; // MySQL user
    $cfg'Servers'$i'password' = 'xxxx'; // MySQL password (only needed
    $cfg'Servers'$i'only_db' = 'tiki'; // If set to a db-name, only
    3.Should I do anything eles?

    Hi,

    You do nothing with phpMyAdmin cos thats got nothing to do with TikiWiki

    By leaving tiki-db.php alone and running the tiki-install.php script it will ask you for connection details. If you need more help, why not read the InstallTiki guides
