    Hi,

    after starting tiki-install.php I filled in all fields. In the next form I get asked for the admin password. I enter it, but nothing happens the form seems to be stuck. What reason could there be?

    it could be the bug. i have had this experience too when used my mysql db from 1.6.1 and tried to "upgrade" for 1.7rc4

    More than likely you are running on a host in PHP Safe Mode which requires some special installation instructions and modifications to the code. InstallTikiUnderSafeMode might give you some clues as well. Otherwise give me a shout 😛

    I installed 1.7RC4 and for the most part it looked fine but except 'Newsletters', all other menu options had 'Permission denied' when viewed by users. Did anyone else have this problem? I went in and changed most permission in mySQL database but that didn't help either.
