WYSIWYG editor / blank screen/ curly{} brackets

Hi All,

I'm trying to incorporate a WYSIWYG editor into Tiki. TinyMCE seems one of the best and easy. The following is the code to be placed into the <head> of the document:

script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"   /script
script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"
tinyMCE.init({
mode : "textareas"
});
/script

However when I put this into the header.tpl file, I get a blank tiki screen. I quite certain the path to the .js file is correct and the permissions are correct, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the curly(brace) brackets in the function call. Does Tiki/Smarty have a problem with this? Has anyone had a similar problem? Solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Yup the curly braces are the problem, In the Smarty documentation http://smarty.php.netQuestion it does say that you need to wrap these around a literal call.

Also be aware that wiki pages are NOT stored in HTML format, so a wysiwyg editor in wiki pages must store the page in wiki syntax format.
