Information access restrictions by "group" or "category"

I set up a blog called "fubar" and I created three usersfoo, bar and bletcheach of which I put in group "fubar". I want to allow write-access to anyone in groups fubar, Editors, and Admin to this blog, but give read access to everyone else. I would settle for only allowing write-access to anyone in group fubar.

Is there any way to partition your wiki space so that some areas are completely open, while other areas can only be read and/or written by members of specific groups?

No problem. On the blogs list page (tiki-list_blogs.php), click on the perms icon (the key) for the fubar blog and assign permissions for that blog, giving the fubar group write access.

Yes, although maybe the idea of partitioning space isn't the best metaphor since space is empty and Tiki perms are given to discrete objects. Viewing and editing permissions come from two directions. On the one hand, you set global permissions for each user group. From the other direction, you can set the viewability, editability, etc. for individual Tiki objects, including wiki pages, blogs, article topics, galleries, etc. These object-specific assignments have priority over the global perms.

I am trying to do something similar on a Tiki I am 'prototyping'. In the forums, I want to keep all but one group (aside from admins, of course) from not just reading, but even seeing certain forums. I found the permission for read, but the forum is still visible. Is it possible to make it not show up in the list at all to those not in the 'special' group?
