Articles and Wiki Page Layout Revisions

Hi,

I wish to revise the layouts of the "main section" of the Articles and the wiki pages. The images of portions of the current layout are shown below:

Articles Page

Wiki Page

For the Article, I wish to move the Article Title SectionQuestion immediately below the Bottom of Articles MainsectionQuestion so that a portion of the layout will look like this
Articles Page

Similarly, for the wiki page:
Wiki Page

Questions:

  1. What template(s) need to be revised to achieve the above?
  2. What need to be revised the each theme stylesheets so that the WikiPage Title SectionQuestion will be almost identical to the Article Title SectionQuestion
  3. I am not really too fond of another set of the icons for "print, delete, edit, etc." in the WikiPage Title SectionQuestion
What needs to be revised in the WikiPage Title SectionQuestion may be integrated with the "text presentation of these, some of them already found in the Bottom of Wikipage MainSectionQuestion?

Related Question:
The route path of this forum thread is as follows:

  • Forums->TikiWiki Templates/Layouts-> Articles and Wiki Page Layout Revisions

I wish to place the above in the html scripted format as follows:

(html)(head)
(title)Articles and Wiki Page Layout Revisions <- TikiWiki Templates/Layouts <- Forums <- TikiWiki(/title)
(link rel="StyleSheet" href="/style/toti1.css" type="text/css" title="toti Style Sheet")
(/head)
(body)

What page and script had to be edited to achieve the above?

Thanks.

Generally, the template (TPL) file is named identically to the PHP file:

  • Articles: tiki-read_articles.tpl and tiki-view_articles.tpl
  • Wiki pages: tiki-show_page.tpl
Some of the buttons at the top are included in tiki-page_bar.tpl

In your CSS, to make your articles and wiki pages appear identical, try modifying the wikitext and articlebody styles.

HTH,

RickQuestion

Thanks Rick,

I was able to move the title section of both the Articles ( tiki-read_articles.tpl) and the wki (tiki-show_page.tpl) pages, so that the main text section is now at the top and the title section is at the bottom.

Making the tiki pages look more like an Article page (in the title section) seems a bit more complex, so I will defer doing that right now. I may revisit this issue again in the future, when I resolve the layout issue I am dealing with the header.

Thanks again.
