Try

{FLASH(movie=>http://www.youtube.com/v/49iq64RwWJk,width=>260,height=>350,quality=>high)}{FLASH}

the obly thing that is displayed when i access it is:

Fatal error: Smarty error: in evaluated template line 1external link: syntax error: unrecognized tag: FLASH(movie=http://www.youtube.com/v/49iq64RwWJk,width=>260,height=>350,quality=>high) (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 436) in /home/forumpdh/public_html/lib/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

the rest is blank, i cant edit enything!

Yep just noticed.

Get out your favourite gui or command line and connect to your database

You need to edit the table tiki_modules, and either remove the row entirely (for the module causing trouble), or edit the array that contains the users that it is displayed to.

That would get you back in.

  • EDIT*

Or you could delete/edit the appropriate row in your tiki_user_modules for your module causing problems

i only found tiki-modules, not tiki_modules
is it this?
what line do i need to edit?
thanks allot

The method above connects to your database not to the php or tpl files, as the code that you put in for your flash is stored in the database in those two places, one for the modules to show to someone/groups, the other for the content of each module.

If you cannot connect to the database then I'm not sure what would be the best method to use. - still thinking

If you cannot connect to the database you might try this - dont know if it 'll work

Make a backup copy of tiki-modules.php

Make a new tiki-modules.php containing

print_r($right_modules);
print_r($left_modules);

near the end of the file
this will list your module names

then pick the array containing the problem modules and then

add a line to delete the module from the array
e.g.
unset($right_modules['key']);
where key is the index of the array.

the unset line should go before the lines

$smarty->assign_by_ref('right_modules', $right_modules);
$smarty->assign_by_ref('left_modules', $left_modules);

This should de allocate the problem module and allow you to see the page and then go to the modules options and correct the problem module.

Good luck

Yes that's what you want, after that, do as above then you should be back in.

Like al123 said, it's possible, but you have to be careful to use the wiki plugin syntax correctly. For yours, use

Copy to clipboard
{FLASH(movie=http://www.youtube.com/v/49iq64RwWJk,width=>260,height=>350,quality=>high)}{FLASH}

Notice the curly brackets, and the closing "FLASH" tag. Then check/tick "Must be wiki parsed" when you create the module. (I tested this code in a module and it does work, though it's rather wide for my columns. You can reduce the width (and height proportionally) to match your side column width.

NP You're welcome. 😀

oh.. i didn't do the "must be wiki parsed" thing... maybe thats what caused the whole crash...
i did the whole thing right, the way i pasted the code above was the way the error message came...
changed { to (... probably because of the "must be wiki parsed" option

thank you guys!
great help!
