If you really want to use wiki linking syntax for non-wiki links, you could use a set of Redirect pages. For example:
- Create a wiki page named Forum.
- Make the page redirect to your forums: {REDIRECT(url=tiki-forums.php)/}
- Now you can link to the forums by using regular, internal, wiki links:
((Forum|view the forum))
