No Images in Safari....

I apologize if this problem has been addressed in the documentation or bug listings, but I have now spent way more time searching for a solution than I would like, and I would really appreciate it if someone could enlighten me regarding the lack of image functionality for safari.

My goal is simple, design an easy to maintain "wiki web site" that anyone (even people with little to zero html knowledge) in my group can edit. By far the most important thing is web browser cross-compatibility, and at the moment I am a little disappointed with the lack of compatibility. I realize that different browsers handle css differently, but is there any reason in particular that images refuse to display in safari for my site? I can call the image directly using a standard html img tag, this works fine, but the minute I employ the
Image
method, it ceases to work in safari.

I find this particularly interesting in that safari is usually the browser to count on for cross compatibility...

I have visited a number of other tiki sites, and their images display without a problem, what am I doing incorrectly?

Update to above. Further testing has revealed that images do not display correctly in Opera either. In addition, I have also found that calling the images using an html tag as I mentioned above, does NOT work.

At this point, I think I'm going to cut my losses and try some other wiki's. It really pains me to say that as I have not found a more customizable CMS than tiki, but if a simple thing like image display is a problem.... well, you get the point.

Try:

  • Enclosing the width and height in quotes
  • You have an empty desc — remove it
  • {img src=PATH width="60%" height="60%" align=center}

You might also want to validate the siteQuestion to make verify if it is a Tiki problem or browser.

FWIW, I have tested my Tikis with Opera and Safari — all images display just fine.

Do you have URL that is public?
