figured out the answer to this one....it wasnt working only in one theme....when I switched to another theme it worked fine.....

I am learning to troubleshoot TikiWiki better (thanks to excellent help in these forums) and I am learning that sometimes when you think something doesnt work, and you start digging in the bowels of tikiwiki files or logs, it is really a template issue. We are running a version of 1.10 (beta stable) and most themes have not caught up to this version.....
