Internal Links

Hi, am still pretty new to the TikiWiki and am trying to understand how the linking works when creating a wiki page. Have read a few help things and am still stuck on certain parts. Have got external non wiki links and also internal wiki pages and i love how that works it is just awesome, as well as the hotwords.

What i am trying to do now, is add a link to a specific chat room. It is not actaully a wiki page, nor an external link.

have tried a few things and am not sure if i should just put in the whole url or if there is a way to get the wikiwords linking to link to parts of the tikiwiki that are not actually wiki pages such as the chat or a blog etc

I want the word PretenderChat to go to either the chat page in general: /tiki-chat.php or specifcially a chat channel i have designated: tiki-chatroom.php

thanks

Wikiwords only link to other wiki pages. To link to non-wiki addresses, you have to use the external link syntax, like [tiki-forums.php] (to produce tiki-forums.php) or [tiki-forums.php|Forums], to produce Forums. (Only relative urls are needed, so whatever follows "http://www.yourdomain.com/".)

You might have to turn off "use external link icon", on the wiki admin page, if it's being used and you don't these local links to be marked as external.
