    • login broken - mysql broken

    Posted by azwli

Hello, I have an installation that I set up a few years ago. It has been working well, but lately the login box has stopped working. the login bar across the top works on some computers. I did an upgrade and that didn't fix things, but after an hour or so i started getting this message:

Unable to connect to the database !
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

    Please help.

OK, I repaired the mysql problem, but I still am having problems with the login. Any ideas would be helpful.
