multimedia plugin problem

Hi all, I am trying to use the new multimedia plugin provided by 2.0 version
My problem is that I cannot enter what I want into my wiki page.
If I try to use the suggested syntax:

Image

Copy to clipboard
{FLASH(movie=>"tikimovies/multiplayer.swf?URL=1&MODE=VIDEO", width=200,height=300)}{FLASH}

having properly setup all the other parameter (i.e. url Append=http://my.full.site.address/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=), when I save the page and re-edit it, my code is automatically changed into:

Image

Copy to clipboard
{FLASH(movie=>"tikimovies/multiplayer.swf?url=1&MODE=VIDEO", width=200,height=300)}{FLASH}

URL (Uppercase) is actually replaced by lowercase, ur followed by < and then a x and then a > and then l=1.....

I cannot write it here, because it does not appear (look at source of this page)

what can I do ?

Is your Tikiwiki installation version 2.0, or did you upgrade using any of the beta (rc1, etc.) releases? Some of those contained over-aggressive measures against scripting attacks and inserted x's in brackets to break up vulnerable words, which your example seems to show. This was corrected in the final 2.0 release as far as I know.

Anyway, the FLASH plugin, which has been in the Tiki code for quite a while now, does work, normally. The plugins help at the bottom of the wiki edit page shows this syntax to use. I'm not sure where you got the syntax in your example.

Copy to clipboard
{FLASH(movie="http://zukakakina.com/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=44",width=>600px,height=>100px,quality=>high)}{FLASH}

produces:
{FLASH(movie="http://zukakakina.com/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=44",width=>600px,height=>200px,quality=>high)}{FLASH}

I installed tikiwiki 1.9.7 two years ago
I upgraded to 1.1.11 last March 2008
I upgraded yesterday to 2.0
data file:

15083539 Aug 11 03:06 tikiwiki-2.0.tar.gz

I am using flash plugin withou any problem
What is arising problem to me is the multiplayer.swf provided into tikimovies directory

I have large swf files (about 20MB) and I was searching for something capable of proividing
and playing them WHILE they are downloaded, as youtube files do

Anyway I don't know if multiplayer could do this...

thanks in advance,

Andrea

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. But I don't know if .swf files can be streamed. Anyway, the multiplayer doc page (http://ignu.ungi.com/tiki-index.php?page=multiplayerQuestion) says .mp3 or .flv files are supported. Youtube and most other video sites use .flv. Maybe the solution would be to convert your .swf files to .flv. There are some free or open source programs to do that.
