FCKEditor uses the Enter key to make a new paragraph, not just a new line, so check if that is what's happening. See http://docs.fckeditor.net/FCKeditor_2.x/Users_Guide/Common_Tasks/Writing and the rest of the FCKEditor docs for more user info.

I'm new to tiki and one of the reasons I decided to go with it was because it claimed to have a wysyiwyg editor.

Is there anyway to install fckeditor 2.6.4 to use with the wiki of 2.2?

My users will not have the patience to edit with this version.

I realized that you can turn on the wysyiwyg feature on 2.2

Careful here... I believe that the WYSIWG editor is marked as "experimental" in 2.2. See ADMIN>FEATURES>EXPERIMENTAL

I had some problems inserting some tags when I tried it early on in my installation and sadly, had to switch back to the regular editor.

I agree, with you, I would like to see the WYSWIG editor. Most users can't quite "get" WikiText even though it has its advantages.

Not sure what the status of WYSWIG is going to be in 3.0. Anybody out there care to comment with an "official" word?
