    • Search not showing File Gallery files

    Banging my head on this one. I had an admin user create a file gallery and upload some files. I gave registered users full access to the gallery and files. They can browse PDF files by selecting file gallery + gallery name + file.

    The problem is when I search as a registered user. It reports "test" found in 1 page, but doesn't show the PDF. Admin can search just fine (works as expected), all other users see a hit, but it doesn't display the file. "No pages matched the search criteria"

    Logs set to full, but no errors are reported. Recent download 4.2

    This appears to search correctly and display the results if:

    -Ignore individual object permissions

    are checked in the Admin-Search page. Registered user can click on the PDF and view it, unregistered gets a message saying they need to log in. This is fine, but doesn't make sense since registered users can access the files - I shouldn't need to check these boxes.

    The Registered user can browse to the gallery and access the files. It is only the search function that appears to be locked out.

    Does Search run under the credentials of the logged in user, or does Search run under anonymous credentials?

    Offhand, it would appear the Search is running under anonymous. Since anonymous is prohibited from viewing the files, that is the reason it doesn't work. I have limited the viewing to only registered users.
