can editing of a wiki page be limited to the pages author?

I just installed Tiki 8, and want to use it as a collaborative research tool. To that end, there are several things I would like it to do that I haven't yet figured out how to do. Please forgive me in advance if I am missing the obvious! I'm just starting.

So far, the biggest questions I have are about permissions. Firstly, this:

Is there a way to make the default behavior of a wiki page be that it is only editable by the user who created the page, and/or by members of the group that that user is a part of? Or, maybe better, can the wiki prompt a page creator with a popup (or the like) that asks to whom editing permissions (or even viewing permissions) are to be granted?

The reason I would like to do this is because if a user is posting results of an experiment, it doesn't make any sense for anyone else to be able to alter them; it might not even make sence, at a preliminary stage, to allow more than a handful of immediate collaborators to see it at all.

Thanks for any guidance!

There's an option "make wiki page author the admin of the page" (approximate wording) on the wiki admin page (tiki-admin.php?page=wiki) that will prevent people other than the page creator from editing the page by default. I'm not sure about a way to limit editing to the author's group, though.

Thanks, Gary! I can't find the option you refer to, but in the process of looking for it I've discovered the whole permissions area. It seems that I can set things up the way I want; the trick is going to be making it easy to do. The tiki does seem to be very flexible in this regard, and it's going to take a while both to comprehend it and to clarify what my own needs really are... Categories seem to be the thing. I'll post again when I have a better grasp of the situation!
