preferences not sticking

I am using Tiki-1.7.4 on WinXP, with Apache2 and MYSQL.
Using an admin login with God powers, I have set which features and general preferences I want for our intranet. After verifying that the database has been updated, I click the refresh button, and can see the changes. The first time I click a menu item, everything works - folder view, modules, etc. The second menu item I click causes the disply to revert back to the default settings. Yet the database and the template_c/preferences.php file both still show my settings. There is no error being displayed (except the "disabled feature" message). Have I missed something? What do I need to tweak to get this to work?

Baffled!

just had (and fixed) same problem - go to Admin General and check the setting for temporary directory. The directory must exist, and remember to escape backslashes in the path - e.g. if your temp directory is c:\temp you need to write c:\\temp

YMMV of course!

Hi!

The other idea is to make a temp in the tikiroot, which I think is the default setting on the tiki installation

Hi, I had the same problem.

Use "/temp" as the path for the Temp-directory (sure, it must exists).

Hope it work's.
