Re: Re: Re: Re: Second bottom module area?

Hi Matthew,

I cannot give you the exact selector(s) of the CSS off hand - I would have to play around by myself.

But where you should look for:

There are different themes and conditions to be checked - some themes are fixed themes and some are fluid themes, respectively can be set to one or the other by preference.

Fixed themes in the "old Tiki style" ( which we use up to now), normally have header and footer width limited to the fixed width.

The theme "Fivealive" unusually spans the header background and the footer background across the whole screen, whilst the "module zone" keeps limitred to the fixed width.

Once I played around and even got a full width fluid footer combined width a fixed width middle area ... I did not follow that path, as I did not see too much sense in it.

Recently I started to work on Responsive design in Tiki, going to get the basics and doing some of the groundworks, we need for the new future type of themeing.

The new road will go towards Less and Bootstrap, but we are at a very early stage and I cannot tell any schedule or details yet, as I do not know and have not too much results by myself.

It is more a pre pre testing and trial phase to figure out potential problems and necessities what we have to change early.

I had to edit it again, as there is some strange problemm with the CODE plugin. So better use the documentation page, which I created yesterday; see here:
-> http://doc.tiki.org/Custom+Module+Example?structure=Tutorials

Please mind, that the content of my examples do not necessarily make sense and might be changed some day - it is just and only to show the principle and to demonstrate how to use HTML, SMARTY and WikiSyntax in a custom module. (A menu 42 or 43 you would not very much likely use in the footer - just to have said this).

Maybe you would be more interested in this example:

Could you provide another screenshot, once you got a bit further?

Cheers
Torsten
