Jonny has been working in multimedia since the early nineties, and before that was employed in television in a variety of roles - mostly connected with computers and design in the UK and around Europe, such as Network 7 for Channel 4 and Catchphrase for ITV.

After co-founding and running Automatic Television (1993-1999), one of the London's first multimedia facility companies, Jonny has been freelance and involved in developing and using digital media, largely on the internet. From 2003 to 2007 he was senior developer at Narrowstep, a pioneering IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) company.

Also since 2003, Jonny has been Technical Advisor on various projects for Attainable Utopias (Goldsmiths, University of London), helping to develop several websites using TikiWiki, producing video programmes and generally engaging in "remembering how to dream".

Aside from the commercial work mentioned above, Jonny has been involved in several series of performance based art projects, such as Divided By Resistance (1996, ICA/Toshiba Art & Innovation Award), Syzygy (1999, ICA London & @Bristol), Thought Conductor (1997-2001, London/Stavanger/Oxford). More recently he has been working with Norwegian artist Svein Flygari Johansen in permanent art installations such as Sulphur (Kirkenes, 2004), The Computer Society (Tromsø 2006-8) and Schitzopia (Oslo, 2007).
