    • upgrading MySQL client

    Hi,

    I have just installed Tiki v1.8.4 on Windows (Apache v2.0.52 and PHP v4.3.9) and mySQL v4.1.7

    http request on index page display message:
    Unable to login to the MySQL database 'tiki' on 'localhost' as user 'root'
    Go here to begin the installation process, if you haven't done so already.

    Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

    When I clicked on http://localhost/tiki-install.phpQuestion to configure, no matter what info I provide (which is all correct) it says
    Tiki cannot find a database connection
    Please enter your database connection info

    Modifying the tiki-db.php made no differences.

    please advise,
