PluginFlash Posted by kwow 12 Dec 2005 05:17 UTC I was trying to play a flash clip in one of the wiki page, but there was nothing display. The code I used is Copy to clipboardtextCopy to clipboard{FLASH(movie=>D:\My Documents\Max\Option.swf, quality=>high,height=>500,width=>650)}{FLASH} Is this a correct code to use? TIA. --kwow
Posted by Gary Cunningham-Lee 12 Dec 2005 06:29 UTC I see on PluginFlash_corrected that a URL is used for the file location, so try "http://www.mydomain.com/Option.swf" or whatever the correct address is. -- Gary

You need to upload (ftp) the .swf file to your >Tiki server and then use the server's path to your file in the plugin. I tried saving the flash file to the files gallery and link it from there. Like this Copy to clipboard{FLASH(movie=>http://xxx.x.x.x/tiki/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=23,height=>616,width=>800,quality=>high)}{FLASH} It does not help....maybe the flash file is a bit big (like 406kB)....does it matter?? I can see that the status bar is running but after 5 mins....it is still blank. Maybe I'll have to ftp the file to the server and I will try that later on. However, won't this limit the other users (aside from the administrator) that they cannot attach any flash or wmv files to the wiki page??😑 --kwow
Posted by Damian Parker 12 Dec 2005 14:13 UTC The flash file needs to be FTP/SCP uploaded. You cannot upload it into a gallery or wiki page attachment and make it work.
