    First let me describe my situation:

    I want to build a Wiki site to do collaborative online translations for some English books. Those English book has copyright that should not be published to public/anonymous visitors. But I need the page translation feature of Tikiwiki to allow our team translate these pages, and I want anonymous visitors can see the translated pages in Chinese language.

    So I have a new idea, if I can hide those English version pages from Anonymous visitors, ONLY allow anonymous visitors view translation for those pages in Chinese, and allow Registered (our team) to both view and translate English pages, this problem can be solved.

    But, I did not find an option in Tikiwiki 2.0.

    Is there such a feature?

    If not, please add such a feature.

    Hi baijianpeng, and welcome to Tikiwiki Community

    You can try yourself to produce that effect playing with categories and permisions to see categorized objects, etc.

    Or manually applying permissions to pages (you can do that for sure), but it will be time consuming on a page by page basis.

    In order to add features, please add your "wish" on http://dev.tikiwiki.org , and consider requesting a Consultant to do it for you, if it takes too long for you to have that wish translated into reality, if you can't get to produce that desired effect with the current features.

    Yes, I had tried the page-specific permissions setting, but it seemed that, if I hide the English version from Anonymous, then they will not say any other translated versions of the same page any more.

    I don't know why.

    I an new to Tikiwiki, I am reading the PDF version documentation now. Hope this problem can be solved.

    I still think a new option of language-specific hiding feature is better than page by page permission set or the category by category permission set. Because I am translating a book which was presented in Tikiwiki as a Structure. If I can choose hide a certain langauge version at one certain Node on the Structure, then I hope all Tree below that Node will be applied to hide that language.
