    On my local server any Russian text I enter (page title, content, etc.) displays as question marks. DB charset is utf-8, collation utf8_general_ci. I noticed that http://info.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?machine_translate_to_lang=ru&no_bl=y&page=HomePage also has the same problems, which led me to think that it might be not only a problem of my installation, but some kind of bug. Please advise.

    Solved: re-created DB with utf8 charset and appropriate collation, works now.

    My way:CREATE DATABASE `DBname` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci;

    I have another question, in the admin part, only half of the Russian language, and the rest English. So it should be? Or transfer was not until the end?

    Hi,
    if I am not mistaken the Russian language was not updated for long time already (even the LanguageRussian page seems broken and not updated for long time) so many strings remain untranslated. If you are interested in helping make the Russian translation complete, you can see http://i18n.tiki.org
